New Year’s Day Concert at 2 p.m.

Sunday, January 1, 2017, will mark the 102nd birthday of the great Spreckels Organ. All donations made at this concert will go to support Pegasus Rising. Since 2008, Pegasus Rising has rehabilitated neglected horses to provide equine therapy to returning combat veterans and their families to help them heal. The concert will go for about one hour, beginning at 2 p.m. Former San Diego Civic Organist Jared Jacobsen will play the following selections in a program he’s titled “Birthday Cake and Champagne!” —
