Sunday July 14: Michael Munson plays at 2 p.m.

This Sunday’s one-hour concert will be performed by guest organist Michael Munson, who serves as the organist at the First United Methodist Church of Escondido. Dr. Munson earned his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. The following selections will be performed:

  • America the Beautiful/La Marseillaise – arr. M. Munson
  • Passacaglia and Fugue in C Minor – J. S. Bach (1685-1750)
  • Dance of the Butterflies – M. Greenwald
  • Variations on a Theme of Paganini for Organ Pedal Solo – George Thalben-Ball (1896-1987)
  • In a Persian Market – Albert W. Albert Ketèlbey (1875-1959)
  • Bumble Boogie – Jack Fina (1913-1970)
  • Final from Organ Symphony No. 1 – Louis Vierne (1870-1937)
  • The National Anthem
