In Support of Public Health, View Concerts Exclusively Online

Dear Musical Friends,

Speaking as Artistic Director in coordination with President Jean Samuels and Curator Dale Sorenson, we would like to let the public know that the Spreckels Organ Society is taking very seriously the fast-moving developments regarding the COVID-19 virus. The health and safety of our community is our top priority and therefore we have agreed with Parks & Recreation to offer the Sunday 2pm concerts to our audience through an online platform. We aim to maintain our commitment to Preserve, Program and Promote the Musical Jewel of San Diego, while at the same time supporting the “stay-home” recommendations by providing the concerts exclusively online. There will be no live performance on Sunday at 2 pm, so please do not come to the Organ Pavilion. As San Diego Civic Organist I will pre-record the concert on a week day and we will then live-stream it on Sundays at 2pm.

We consider this to be the best action we can take to support the social efforts to slow down the spread of the virus, helping to prevent a quickly-occurring increase of infection cases that could collapse our healthcare system. At the same time we aim to continue providing our community with a weekly dose of inspiration and hope through the power of high quality music.

On behalf of the Spreckels Organ Society, our best wishes to you and your family during these uncertain times. Thank you for your continued support.
