Movie Night this Monday August 18

Scottish organist Donald MacKenzie, who is house organist at London’s famous Odeon Theatre, will accompany two silent film comedy classics at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion on Monday night with a concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. this coming Monday.

Chasing Choo Choos (1927) – starring Monty Banks in a madcap, runaway train adventure.

One Week (1920), starring Buster Keaton as a newly married groom who is given a build-it-yourself house by his uncle… and just one week in which to build it.

The movies will screen after dark. The concert begins with selections played by Donald MacKenzie. Come early to get a seat — the Pavilion always fills up fast on these popular movie evenings.

LOCALS TAKE NOTE — Another great silent film will show at the Organ Pavilion on Halloween this year: Phantom of the Opera starring Lon Chaney. Mark your calendar for this date, and plan on attending the Spreckels Organ Society Gala Dinner Fundraiser that night before the public screening.
